Gamesa Agrees Sale of 30 MW Wind Farm in Catalonia to Greentech Energy Systems

  • This facility, developed and built by Gamesa?s wind farm development and sale business, is equipped with 15 G90-2.0 MW wind turbines

Gamesa, a global leader in the design, manufacture and maintenance of wind turbines and a benchmark wind farm developer, has agreed the sale of a 30 MW wind farm development located in Tarragona (Spain) to Greentech Energy Systems, a Dutch wind farm developer with a pipeline in Denmark, Germany, Italy, Norway and Poland.

This wind farm, developed and built by Gamesa?s wind farm development and sale business, is equipped with 15 G90-2.0 MW wind turbines.

Gamesa and Greentech Energy System expect the deal to close in September 2011 once the Catalan regional government authorises the change in facility ownership.

Under standard wind conditions this wind farm development is expected to avoid the emission of 40,000 tonnes CO2 annually.
