U.S. U-17s beat Japan and Croatia

[NIAGATA TOURNAMENT] The U.S. under-17 national team beat Japan's under-17 national team, 2-1, and Croatia's under-17 national team, 4-2, to open play at the Niigata Tournament in Japan.

Japan and Croatia have both qualified for the Under-17 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates in October.

The USA, which did not qualify for the first time, concludes its short trip to Japan Monday against a local all-star team.
