TORONTO - The Ontario Superior Court has ruled that General Motors of Canada Ltd. breached its contract when it reduced health care and life insurance benefits for its retired salaried workers. In some cases, the retirees saw their basic life insurance benefit cut from $100,000 to $20,000. The ruling comes after a class action lawsuit was launched against the automaker in 2010.
