Lower priced Sony PSP E-1000 game console being launched soon

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe president Jim Ryan has announced the launch of PSP E-1000, a portable game console of Sony PlayStation. This PlayStation game console does not support WiFi features. Stereo speakers of the earlier PSP models are replaced by mono-aural speakers in this new PSP E-1000 model. Price of this model has been fixed at ?99 in U.K., ? 99 in Europe, and $99 in United States, though no date of availability has been declared.

Sony?s PS Vita game console is anticipated to hit European and US markets in early 2012. In Gamescon 2011 expo, Sony announced the launch of E-1000 Portable, a lesser priced PlayStation equipped with UMD (universal media disk) support. Sony is unlikely to surrender its right of actual game media alternatives of the different PSP consoles. PSP E-1000 is featured with TFT 4.3 inches LCD display having aspect ratio of 16:9. As there is no information about the availability of SIM slots, this game console cannot be connected to online PlayStation network. It may be said that PSP E-1000 is meant for playing games that are already available in the market. Possibility also exists for playing games through a personal computer or PlayStation. This new model does not feature additional music and video compressor ? decompressor (codec).

Photographs of PSP E-1000 reveal user interfaces are completely new. This new game console is expected to hit shop shelves in early 2012 together with PS Vita.
