Louis XIV?s need for skilled and athletic dancers started actually creating tutu. In the sixteen hundreds when Ballet developed as a sophisticated dance style heavy outfits limited women?s movements, but they were needed as the traditions of the time dictated. Ballet developed, women needed to quickly and easily move their legs to carry out the new technology of Louis XIV. To go in the long and heavy dresses, women roll up their skirts on the stage to kick his ankles in a ballet production. They would also spin their skirts to carry out certain parts of the play. Women would always have to be very careful, because a small move of dress in the wrong way would lead to someone looking just a little too much. Dancers were often burdened with such elaborate dresses they struggled to move and perform ballet pieces correctly.

It could be suggested that Marie Camargo is the mother of tutu. She was the first woman who dared to challenge the traditions of the time and shorten her skirt length so that she can easily move around the stage. Other women followed this challenge. Marie Taglioni was an Italian ballerina who invented the style Romantic tutu. The Ballerina Marie Salle a rival of Marie Taglioni was also very influential in the development of tutu that she was the first to spread their petticoats for a simple dress outfit during the dance. Ballet dress became easier and easier for women to dance in while it is still modest. For dancers to preserve their modesty when her legs kicking, Maillot, an opera designer, invented the first ever tights. Tutu has become shorter in length over time, and has been through lots of different formats.

Powder puff tutu was developed as a collaboration between artist Barbara Karinska and George Balanchine when he wanted a less rigid and wide classical tutu. Designers of the Bauhaus as Oskar Schlemmer?s designed tutus with plastic and metal in their tutus. Today, changing the tradition of the ballerina tutu still, like all these years. There is one thing that remains the same, but: as long as there are Ballet, there will always be in need of tutu. But more than that, Ballet tutu has reached the bridges, and paths of the major fashion houses such as Chanel and entered the traditional way. Celebrities like Madonna and Katie Price can be seen with a tutu at the most prestigious jobs. Tutu is here to stay.

Obama Taps Army General To Lead Joint Chiefs

President Barack Obama Monday nominated Army General Martin Dempsey to be Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and Navy Admiral James Winnefeld to be Vice Chairman.

Dempsey, who is known as a thinker and a combat commander, has done tours in Saudi Arabia training the National Guard and in Baghdad at a time when the insurgency was gaining steam. He later led the effort to train the Iraqi military. More recently he served as Acting Commander of U.S. Central Command ? the military position that oversees combat in both Afghanistan and Iraq.

In making his announcement - President Obama highlighted this experience.

"For the first time, the Chairman and Vice Chairman will have the experience of leading combat operations in the years since 9/11," Obama said.

Dempsey is currently chief of staff of the Army, a job he's held for less than two months. In 2003 and 2004, he led the 1st Armored Division in Baghdad during a very difficult time. Retired Army Colonel Mark Olinger was General Dempsey's assistant chief of logistics in Baghdad.

"Imagine a city whose entire government processes are just eliminated," Olinger says. "There's no local law enforcement. There's no government at any level to speak of, and the citizens can do what they want at will."

And the insurgency was gaining strength. Many Iraqi citizens were supporting it. Olinger says Dempsey understood the dynamics.

"He viewed it that we had to build trust and confidence with those Iraqis who were emerging to try to assume leadership roles and also with the Iraqi citizens in general," Olinger says.

Retired General Jack Keane says Dempsey's experience sends the right kind of signal to a military force that's fighting now and will continue to fight for some time to come.

"He was one of our most effective division commanders we had in Iraq during that entire time frame," he says. "If we're going to have a chairman of the joint chiefs of staff during a time when we have been at war in the longest time in the nation's history, we just must have a general officer who participated in that war."

But in Dempsey, the president gets much more than a battlefield tactician. Dempsey can sing ? and he's not afraid to show it off in the name of boosting morale. There's a video on YouTube of him singing a Frank Sinatra song at Fort Monroe, Va.

The showman in him gets at something else about General Dempsey: he knows how to talk to his troops ? he's a skilled communicator.

Lt. Gen. Mark Hertling, the commander of U.S. Army Forces in Europe has known Dempsey for nearly two decades and says the general is just good with people whether they be kings and princes or regular folks. Hertling tells the story of when some of Dempsey's soldiers were headed home from Iraq, and he had to call them back to send them into battle. Dempsey sent Hertling to personally tell their families.

"When you're sending people home and then suddenly you're asked to stay a little longer and say, 'Not so fast.' When you're dealing with individual soldiers, that's a tough thing to turn around, and I think General Dempsey did that admirably in Iraq," Hertling says.

Here in Washington, if confirmed, Dempsey will have a different audience: the President and his national security team. And there will be plenty to discuss, including Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya and new pressure to cut military spending in the coming years.

The focus is slightly different at each level but the goal remains the same; empower the young person to make positive changes in his/her life.

Unite for Youth will focus primarily on middle school youths. It is projected that within three years, 50% of the system?s students will be in middle school. This age group is particularly problematic and a perfect time for mentoring to be effective.

Unite for Youth?s mentoring programs will pair a youth with mentor for 12 months. During that time the two will participate in weekly planned activities to strengthen the relationship between the two and improve the young person?s confidence and hopefulness. Mentors will receive continuous training throughout the year and will participate in monthly meeting to report the young person?s progress.

First off, I want to thank all of you for reading my blog and for supporting me. The reason I?m extending my gratitude to all of you is because I finally feel that I have come closer to a balanced life than ever before. That?s not to say that my life is fully balanced; I am still working on certain areas.? Just so all of you know this last year or so have proven to be pivotal in the direction my life, career and personal relationships are going. It all started when I worked in a full-time corporate job and HATED every second of it.? Yes, I let my emotions take a toll on my physical and mental being. I finally said, enough was enough and took some steps to drastically change my lifestyle.

While working, I enrolled at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition held in NYC and hired a life/business coach because I was determined for a career change. I took the chance and networked with many people to make things happen. One thing led to another, from hiring more coaches to surrounding myself with like-minded people, and I found myself finally realizing what my dream career would be?and that is to help as many people as I can, people like myself who have nowhere to turn to, who are ashamed because they are overweight, have poor lifestyle habits, and are uncomfortable in their own skin. And that?s when I quit what I hated the most?Corporate America.? That?s not to say that everyone should just get up and quit their jobs, family, friends, or circumstances, but I say to you, evaluate what is making your life unbalanced and take action steps that?ll lead haphazardly to your dream life!? After committing the most monstrous and scandalous sin in the eyes of loved ones, (mind you, I faced the ?how could you quit a steady paycheck? and ?you are wasting your master?s degree to do fitness??), I cannot tell you enough how my relationships with these people, family, friends and boyfriend, have dramatically improved. In addition, my health improved?along with weight loss?it took me soooo damn long to lose those pounds because of the stress I was putting my body through. I finally have learned, and still am learning, how to please my body and my spirit.?

It?s all about Primary Food! If you have obtained that is no longer medically desirable for your physical condition and features, sometimes issues on weight loss and fitness are not really a matter of what food you are eating. Studies have shown that it is often more about how you weigh your options and harmonize your lifestyle and habits.

First, you must acknowledge that it is not all about planning diets and that your planned diets have, yes, failed. Step on the weighing scale and prove it yourself.
